Public Holidays
absentify is a powerful tool that can help you manage public holidays for your team, especially when team members work in different regions with different holidays. With absentify, you can set up public holidays in advance, and assign them to specific users. This way, you can make sure that everyone gets the time off they need, and that your team is always up-to-date on the latest holiday schedule.
To add a public holiday, you can either import holidays from 120 countries. You can also manually add or update existing holidays by logging into your absentify account and navigating to the "**Settings**" > "**Public Holidays**" page. From there, you can click the "**Add Holiday**" button and enter the relevant information, such as the holiday name and country. Once you've saved the holiday, it will appear in the holiday list.

If you need to update a public holiday, you can do so by navigating to the "**Settings**" > "**Public Holidays**" page and clicking on the holiday in the list. From there, you can delete or add new holidays then click on the Save button to save your changes.

If you need to delete a public holiday, you can do so by navigating to the "**Settings**" > "**Public Holidays**" page and clicking on the trash can icon next to the holiday in the list. This will delete the holiday from absentify. Please note that if absences were already taken in this period, and they were calculated with the holiday, they will not be recalculated retroactively. Also, if new absences are added, they will not be calculated with the deleted holiday.

Once you've set up your public holidays, you can assign them to specific users by navigating to the "**Settings**" > "**Users**" page. From there, you can click on the user in the list and select the holidays you want to assign to them in the "**Public Holidays**" section. Once you've saved your changes, the selected user will be able to see the assigned holidays in their absentify account.

Assigning Holidays to Users
